Job Title: Associate Farm Technician - Fertilizer, Pesticide, and Insecticide

Location: Tigbinan, Labo, Camarines Norte

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Farm Technician with background in the application and management of fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides. The ideal candidate will have experience in agricultural practices, knowledge of crop management, and the ability to ensure the safe and effective use of chemical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides according to best practices and crop requirements.
Monitor soil health, crop growth, and pest infestations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Maintain accurate records of all chemical applications, including types, quantities, and dates of use.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines related to chemical use.
Operate and maintain equipment used for chemical applications.
Assist in the development and implementation of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
Provide guidance and support to farm staff on safe handling and storage of chemicals.
Stay updated on new developments in agricultural chemicals and their applications.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
Experience: With specific experience in fertilizer, pesticide, and insecticide application.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil science, plant nutrition, pest control, and chemical safety protocols.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of agricultural machinery and chemical application equipment.
- Ability to identify crop pests and diseases and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing crop health and soil conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for training and guiding farm staff.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and operate equipment.
Capability to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
